Marcal Paper Mills, a fourth generation family owned business, is an integraded products manufacturer that recycles a variety of paper grades such as magazines, advertising mail, office and school papers which are sanitized and reprocessed into quality retail and commercial tissue products as well as a line of granular absorbent products under the Kaofin® brand name.
Marcal has been awarded eight US Patents for its development of its high quality, and safe Kaofin absorbents which are made from fiberclay™. Marcal has committed millions of dollars in research, independent laboratory and university testing and they have invested in moden manufacturing and packaging equipment to produce this family of useful products. These Marcal products are made with strict specifications to ensure end users receive high quality that out perform traditionally available products.
Marcal Kaofin products are sustainably made and available year round as inventoried finished products. All Marcal Kaofin granular products are low in dust, crystalline silica safe, have 100% recycled content and have high absorption capacities.
1) Workforce® All-Purpose Absorbent. This is an all-purpose spill absorbent for oil, grease, water and non-reactive chemical spills. An excellent, low cost, high performance solution for factory, garage and roadside spills.
2) KaoClean™Absorbent. An absorbent product ideal for liquid chemical solidification and bulking. KaoClean product is a useful material for remediation of brown field areas and spill site clean-up projects.
3) KaoCat™ Litter. Marcal is able to produce a high quality, value priced, coarse cat litter product. This economical product is virtually dustless and absorbs pet odors without harsh chemicals. This crystalline-safe litter product is healthier for kitten and adult cat respiratory systems.
4) KaoLit™ Poultry Litter. This long lasting Marcal litter product, reduces ammonia odors and helps manage liquid nutrients. Wet spots in growing pens are eliminated and fly populations are greatly reduced. Used Marcal litter and manure wastes are compostable or suitable for land spreading.
4) KaoBed™ Livestock. Wet spots in stalls are eliminated and fly populations are greatly reduced. This long lasting Marcal litter product, reduces ammonia odors and helps manage liquid nutrients. Used Marcal litter and manure wastes are suitable for land spreading and are compostable.
5) KaoKap™ Construction Product. An ideal landfill capping, daily cover, retention pond or land sculpting construction medium. Recommended applications meet 1 x 10 -7 cm/sec. requirements. KaoKap product is much easier to handle and keeps equipment and job sites cleaner in cold or wet weather compared to traditionally mined materials.
